River Segura looking like mushroom soup

This view looked like something from Conrad - jungly and steamy and a bit sinister.
The river was the mud-filled River Segura in spate after the torrential rains in Murcia. The river was high, and locally the flooding had been both severe and dangerous, costing a dozen lives.
