Snow Day

Turns out the forecasters were right; it has snowed pretty much constantly all day long. We had half a plan to go into town for a bit of shopping but soon thought better of that, and apart from my walk over to the village shop for my paper this morning have stayed put. It must have been bad as even my neighbour (who, for fans of the 1990's American comedy series 'Home Improvement' with Tim 'The Toolman' Taylor, is the spitting image of the character 'Wilson' right down to his hat just appearing over the fence) stayed indoors. Considering that we are in the bit of the country that has been least affected by the snow, we've still got over six inches of it in the garden. Of course, the birds were eating as much of the seed as they could and in the absence of any other tasty morsels, this Rook tried to get in on the act too.
