condensate pipe ice pops

Our boiler stopped working yesterday, the "beast from the east" had frozen our condensate pipe. We didn't have time to sort it yesterday & the wind and darkness would have made it unwise too. Luckily were able to borrow a long ladder from our kind neighbours to reach the pipe on the outside (the boiler is high up in the loft). This morning in the daylight Eveline and I were able to fix the problem by clearing the ice from the condensate pipe with hot water from the kettle.
