Anyways, after much hot water was poured on the pipe, a hot water bottle was shoved in beside the pipe and then some deep heat pads usually meant for sore backs was wrapped around the pipe - not to mention wrapping Gillian Martin and Alex Salmond round the pipe to stop the windchill - the wondrous heating came on about 5. We are so coddled. How did our forebears cope, we are such light weights. (Or useless heavy weights thanks to the choc biscuits).
