Two have an adventure ...
A trip to Liverpool’s World Museum to see The Terracotta Warriors Exhibition.
My friend and I have had the tickets, and been looking forward to this, for months.
This morning it was touch and go whether we would be able to travel as many trains had been cancelled because of the bad weather.
A fabulous exhibition, the tomb, only a portion of which has been excavated, contained a mind- boggling number of artefacts. Some fascinating facts emerged about the Emperor’s burial, which included the sacrifice and burial of 99 of his concubines and hundreds of slaves and craftsmen.
Ninety nine concubines - no wonder he died at the age of only fortynine.
