The Nature of Manor

I have a shelf in my bookcase dedicated to the published works of personal friends and acquaintances through the years. They are many and represent an eclectic body of knowledge.....about Chartres Cathedral, or Missions in Japan, or the frontiers of the Roman Empire, or Cromwell in Scotland.......to name but four.

Here is the most recent. Graham spent 37 years as a forest ecologist and soil scientist with the Forestry Commission. The last 20 he has lived among the people of the Manor Valley and its natural life. Detailed research about a lovely place. Do you want to know the distribution of snipe, or dippers, or mountain hares, or adders.....or the geological history....or etc etc. This is the authoritative work.
