Bright and Dark!
That was my first title for this image--why not use it for the blip? A view behind our apartment at 17:40, after a day of very changeable weather. The extra displays the main event of the day: An exhibition at the Panthéon in Paris on Madame Curie (1867-1934) to commemorate the 150th anniversary of her birth. In 1995 she was the first woman to enter the Panthéon, which serves as a "mausoleum containing the remains of distinguished French citizens." She plays a memorable if minor role in my family's history: Around 1925 my father spent time at the Sorbonne in Paris, and attended lectures by Madame Curie; we have a letter to his family in Alabama which includes a short description of her.
