Day 5 - Dallas
You looking at me?
Left San Antonio this morning for Dallas. 300 miles again, here we come. Mrs SoL spotted a Cracker Barrel pretty soon after we left. Obligatory diversion. Take-out tea and coffee later, we were back on our way. Roadworks on the Interstate 34 were significant for several miles. As the journey progressed, the sight of another outlet centre, which of course had just what we needed, meant another diversion. This was a travel day after all, so no rush to get to our destination - honest.
Several miles later, we found another Cracker Barrel. Lunch. I’m thinking of putting my foot down, figuratively of course. My accelerator might get me past them in future.
Waco and Austin flashed by, as did the turn off to Fort Worth; one of the destinations planned over the next couple of days. Arrived in Dallas in the early evening. Hotel room is the size of our house.
Meal out was expensive. Must do more research. Back to hotel for a rest. Not leaving the area until Tuesday, so time to relax a bit. Dallas is pretty, so looking forward to exploring.
