Cat and mouse!

Along the road at the hens, there are lots of fresh tracks in the snow.  Obviously there is a plenty of activity when I'm not around!  

There are lots of cat foot prints, but these are rats' paw prints, rather than mouse ones.  I love the way they look like tiny hands!  They come and finish up uneaten hen food, and in this weather you can't blame them.  

Lots of cats in the village now, I think we are up to seven, so they should be keeping the rodent population under control.  The dog number is down to three, with another three if you count the holiday home ones.  Not a bad tally for a village of less than twenty houses!

Thanks for the concern re Ollie's leg. He seems to be leaving it alone and it's healing nicely.
