The thaw begins

It is 1C today! The snow dropped by the Beast from the East is gradually thawing as can be seen in this photo from Chatelherault Country Park this morning. However, before we left, a light snow shower began and is expected to continue on and off throughout the day. But this seems like our usual type of snow, not the dry powdery snow of last week, so no doubt it will all turn to slush soon.
Although even I am starting to get a bit fed up with it, I will miss how it beautifies even the most ugly parts of the urban landscape.
