Emergency Forest Ride

This morning my car coughed at me sadly and refused to leave the drive. So I had to ring my passenger and say sorry no transport, and then walk to church.  The car did start this afternoon, so I decided to go for a drive into the New Forest and charge up the battery a bit.  I'm supposed to be reproducing the style of a well known photographer for the A Year With My Camera graduates course.  It's my January homework, but shush.  Anyway, I chose Paul Gallagher, who used to do a lot of Gothic black and white stuff.  Bournemouth doesn't really do Gothic, unless you count Mary Shelley and Frankenstein.  But I decided the Forest was the best venue.  So here's my first attempt.  I've added a tree as an extra, because I liked the effect, but I think this is the more Gothic of the two photos.
