Duck!

Because of the weather they only had posh eggs, and I accidentally bought posh duck eggs instead of posh hen eggs.  Ideal from my point of view, and they were just right - not too full-on, but a tiny bit overcooked. 

Bread was nice too.  Again, only the better kinds of bread were available. 

Posting this to emphasise the character of the day.  Snowing lightly with very grey skies, and temperatures lingering around Slush. 

An ideal day to go to the big yellow shop (we've been waiting for an indoor day) to get some more ideas to kickstart a project.   

Also:  Ideal day for getting rid of that fruit in the freezer.  The extra: I'm making Jelly because it was just a load of old fruit that wasn't even topped and tailed or sorted through.  I can imagine a typical allotment day where a load of fruit was picked, then sat around for a while before being thrown hurriedly in the freezer.  

Blackberries, blackcurrants, gooseberries, worcesterberries, redcurrants, plums.  Fingers crossed.
