I had such a wonderfully sociable day today. Mainly with neighbours: now Spring's here people were out and about in the neighbourhood a lot. The children had their first water balloon fight with friends.

I'm getting to know a new family and tonight she told me all about her 14 year old daughter dying in a gas explosion at their home. This is the 2nd day in a row I've sat with a crying mother as she's recalled her child dying (yesterday it was a karate mum whose 10 year old son drowned last year).

We got lots of jobs done at the bazaar this afternoon including the annual blood tests required by the gov. We celebrated the yellow belters by going out for ice cream.
