Poor visibility and missed opportunities

Started the day with a delayed flight at Southampton airport, but at least mine to Newcastle left, unlike those to the Channel Islands where the weather made landing impossible. ChamberlainJohn was waiting for his delayed flight to Edinburgh but we did not see each other. (Missed opportunity for an airport blipmeet!)

At Newcastle I found a couple already waiting for the courtesy bus to the long stay car park. He looked very familiar, but perhaps older and more rounded than I'd seen on TV. His shoes looked very expensive and the long fragile luggage was another clue. It was Jimmy White, the snooker player. I did not pluck up courage to ask for a photo.

Back home it's been 100% humidity all day as we languish in fog. You can see how much water is clinging to the Michelmas daisies. Enjoyed Uni Challenge, Only Connect and New Tricks. Nice to be home again.
