Running and Making

Bushey Park showing signs of turning to it's beautiful wintry best. I love it so much in the mist and rain, when it's deserted, and cold and damp.

Today I ran 5k in a time I've been literally chasing for about three years. I wasn't even aware I was running faster than usual, but I was ten seconds faster than the target I've had since forever. I was really pleased.

Al didn't have EH today so I felt like I had loads of time to myself and spent it sewing. I made a cushion for our friend Holly who is nine soon. Its not quite finished but I did 99% of it and was really pleased with it.

For various reasons (well just one really) I've struggled recently to motivate myself to enjoy the things I usually love so much; running, sewing, knitting, drawing, crochet, cooking, embroidery. I love making and creating and craft of any kind whatsoever (perhaps with the exclusion of macramé....) but this has been a smaller part of my life this year than any time I can remember.

For various reasons (well just one really) I think I might be coming out of the other end as I find myself in the middle of two big projects / presents for the children for Christmas and with about a hundred ideas for things I am
itching to make.

Parents evening at Al's school. His new teacher seems nice.
