The dropped stitch

By Bodkin

low tide

With the low tides over the last few days there has been more of the blockships visible if you are crossing the Barriers at the right time. This is SS Reginald built in Glasgow in 1878. Sunk at the beginning of the First World War along with many other vessels, to block the eastern entrances to Scapa Flow. Amazing that there are still remains of these ships to be seen after so many years.

Busy day working.
Then a very pleasant evening with Poppy - delicious meal and plenty of knitting talk. A perfect Saturday night out!
