Mr Roly's Life

By MrRoly

What a day!

A busy and enjoyable birthday in a difficult year for celebrations. Started with presents in bed. We took the kids to school and then went for what Carolyn calls a cheeky Kiligrew - coffee and a cinnamon bun in a wonderful independent coffee house. We even met Carolyn's usual cheeky Kiligrew partner their Claire.

Next was successful birthday present shop and another coffee. I picked up Red while Carolyn did more shopping. Lunch at the church cafe followed by haircut. Picked others up from school and had cake - see photo. Kids to bed and tarting up, before a top night out.

Our friends Mick and Claire are ex Royal Navy and 'once Navy, always Navy'. Mick is Chairman of the Falmouth Royal Naval Association (RNA) and invited us to join them at their Trafalgar Celebration Dinner. The night was excellent. They gave Carolyn a cake and sang happy birthday. Every one I spoke to from the RNA was so friendly and welcoming, to two non Navy strangers, it was a pleasure to be there and a great advert for the Royal Navy.

A good day with a rather dull lifeless one to follow.
