Misty Daze
Days. Daze. Whatever it has been, it has been one of them, here's a random summary:
Wake up as usual, grab badminton gear, shirt, etc. and head to work.
Lock up bike at work, start up pc, unpack bag... realise I have forgot shorts for later.
No worries, heading into town to get wedding suit at lunch, will get some shorts too.
Lunchtime!
Appears some moron has locked their bike onto mine instead of the anchor.
Fifteen minute search of other offices (disrupting a number of office manager's lunches) does not locate moron. Presumably moron is at lunch.
Gnashing of teeth / slight rage / lunch from Tesco down the road.
Set record time in creating a report in afternoon, write threatening e-mail to all people suspected of being the moron.
With help from other offices the moron is located and my bike is freed!
Post-work, head into town, get suit.
Forget shorts.
Drop suit off at work, brain blissfully ignorant of prior shorts fact.
Get to badminton, hand over money, head to changing rooms.
Ah.
Momentarily contemplate asking for some shorts from lost and found.
Group shudder.
Play in jeans instead. Play remarkably well. Wonder if jeans are lucky.
Jeans are also boiling, not a plan going forward.
Cycle home (via Sainsburys for pizza).
Collapse.
In other news, it's wonderfully misty and foggy around here! If my knees are up to an early cycle trip before work tomorrow I am taking the camera out!
