Living on the sharp edge of winter...

Dear Diary,

March is a threshold month, a month where you can see spring and winter at the same time. There are days when you think that spring is "just around the corner" only to find winter, again, staring you in the face. The last couple of weeks has been like that here. No wonder my batteries are low, it takes a lot of energy to jump back and forth between two seasons.

Winter will re-emerge on Wednesday and Thursday it seems so we rescheduled our art afternoon for tomorrow. We do a lot of that sort of thing around here. You make plans and then remake them. I am so grateful that my area was spared the devastation southern New England experienced during last Friday's Nor'easter...7 dead, millions without power. Now, we just hold our breath and wait to see what this next winter punch will deliver.
