Buttresses

Went out to look for some shots, but it was rainy and work is piling up, so I dithered around the Cathedral. Inscription reads 'His decem adminiculis suffulta est ecclesia', meaning 'With these ten supporters the church is held up' - the ten supporters being the ten flying buttresses we see behind. Although they look medieval, they were built in 1909-12, to stop the Cathedral from collapsing.
