Low Tide on the Mersey

It was a grey day as I set out to have a look at the two bridges over the Mersey. Not such good news for cyclists- the old bridge which is closed for repairs, was meant to be open for bikes and pedestrians. But you have to await a shuttle bus. The new bridge (which was never going to be available for cyclists) resulted in a temporary closure of a section of the Trans Pennine cycle way, which runs under it. Still closed, and no sign of any likely change.
