After the snow

Around 8 inches of snow has finally melted, and now after a damp walk time to relax with her favourite toy and magazine.! Delays in deliveries meant that my favourite weekly paper arrived 3 days late too so I'll have to put in serous effort to read it before the next one arrives.

I'm pleased to see the crocuses again, although the weight of snow has taken its toll on the first ones through, and the new flowers through look pale and weedy in comparison. How, or indeed if, they recover remains to be seen.

Today was the first day I have ventured out of a supermarket since the snow fall, apart from the local shop for bread and milk, so I stocked up on some basics which had run low. Couldn't be bothered to panic buy anything! With a good supply of dog food and a selection of vegetables, getting by for a few days was fairly easy.
Hopefully longer walks in the sun will present a few photo opportunities ove the next days.
