Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

2018 Monday — Tristan’s Science Project

Just to interrupt the daily drudgery about Grammie Fun and the dilemma around her, I’m going to blip something I received today from our grandkids.

This morning we received this photo from Desiree, our adult granddaughter, who lives with her hubby and our two great-grands in Missouri. She wanted us to see Tristan’s school project. He is (I think) in fifth grade.

Desiree included this message: “Wanted to show you guys Tristan’s science project. He worked really hard on it and we only helped him line things up and find the models for the paper airplanes . . . very proud of this kiddo.”

So I responded, “I can read the first line of the hypothesis—very interesting question to research. His display is quite attractive. He loves science. He is on the road to winning a college scholarship in a STEM program (science, technology, engineering, math). At Norco College, the department with all the grant money is STEM. Tristan not only has personality plus, he is also immensely sharp. Thanks, Des, for sharing this with us. We miss you guys.”

Then I sent the photo to our other adult granddaughter Ashly, who lives here in Southern California. She wrote: “That looks awesome!! I sent him a package of paper airplanes for Christmas. I wonder if he used those for this project.”

It was delightful to correspond with them today and to see the quality of Tristan’s project.
