Signs of Spring

After last week's deep freeze in Europe the last ice is thawing (however our mini pond is still in the shade and is still frozen) and suddenly shrubs are starting to show signs of Spring. These first ribes sanguineum (flowering currant) flowers and leaves are a lovely surprise although they look to have suffered some freezing damage.
