Postcard from Porthleven
This postcard is especially for our Daughter-in-Law and family.
A place that is very dear to their hearts.
First day in Cornwall, and we woke up to sunshine.
After breakfast, drove over to Newlyn for fresh fish, straight from the docks.
Not as much to choose from because of the bad weather.
Storm Emma has caused major disruption to many things in the South West.
The baulks are still in place and Porthleven harbour is still closed.
Things should be back to normal by the weekend.
However we came back with some cod, which we will be having tonight.
Our favourite cod curry.
Also some oak smoked haddock for later.
It started pouring down so we decided to set off back and call at Sainsbury's.
Then collected our first Cornish pasties from Philps , in Marazion.
Delicious!
By the time we got back "home" the sun had come out again.
So after lunch it was off to Porthleven.
Glorious!
Walked part way to Loe Bar and back. Then a pot of tea sat outside Naughty But Nice in the sun.
Really felt warm. 14C! highest temperature so far this year.
It would be nice if this weather continued. Unfortunately the rest of the week doesn't sound too good.
Thank you all for the kind comments , stars and hearts for yesterday's blip of the beach.
