23 October 1962 new life arrived for Dutch immagrants Maartje and Piet Oostendorp this new life weighed 8pound 10.oz, was 2 months early and required urgent transfer to Kew Hospital from the Dee Street Maternity Home which is now Macdonalds. After rceiving a blood transfusion and surgery for an infection this Baby Boy bounced back to be healthy. At the time of the Birth this couple had been in New Zealand for just 1 month so 50 years on, this is my new life a new minature Rose bud almost in flower.
