Tree potting

I'd arranged to go for a run with my friend this morning and, despite heavy snow falling, we still went round the park. The conditions underfoot were much as last night and I discovered last night's shoes are better at keeping wet feet warm!. No drinks and chat afterwards, getiing dry and warm was more important.
The afternoon was the volunteer session for our local reserve and we were supposed to be planting trees (postponed form a month ago when it was cold and snowy) but as the ground was in no fit state for planting anything the young trees had to be potted up so they will survive until the autumn planting season. Three of us did nearly 200 native trees in s couple of hours.
Meeting this evening but I don't have to go out for it
