Unwelcome

An unwelcome, very speedy dump of a couple of inches of snow caused chaos this morning. An unlucky combination of ice underneath, very very fast lying snow, and right at early commute time meant there hadn't been much traffic on roads, everything was very slidey and everyone was stuck! Caught out a bit.

We live next to the road into the village, on a long gradual hill. The last stretch was too much for some who all got stranded. While walking to the train station we helped a few get on their way. Easier said than done on a steep hill and a slidy surface. Me, I played the pregnant lady card and stood and shouted instructions (and took photos, of course).

This car was the village GP so quite a good person to help out. Think people were stuck for ages after that so I was pleased to get on my train and go to the nice, unsnowy, city centre.

SURELY THIS IS THE END OF THE SNOW!!!
