Ice flowers again

A lovely lazy day. I went a walk and saw the tree stump face (extra). Last night Jade asked for photos of Matt as a baby I sent a couple then remembered I'd seen a photo album of his life but I couldn't remember where it was. I looked everywhere then it came to me and found that it finished in 2007. I spent the afternoon starting to bring it up to date. I've got all the photos ready but didn't manage to print them all.
I decided to have another go at freezing flowers. I'd seen some on here and Facebook I really liked. I decided to use a plastic glass and immersed 2 carnations and a rose into the water. The biggest problem was I couldn't get the frozen creation out of the glass so I had to leave it to melt for a while. I'm really pleased with the effect much better than the hard edges of the ice cubes. It almost looks like a paperweight.
I also decided to have a go at making scones, I haven't made them in years. They are delicious so a good job I only made five!!!! Not sure if any will be left for tomorrow.
