And still it snows

Took me twice as long to get into work today. Flurries of heavy snow: but at work t was just raining.

Heavy day too of meetings. Over 4 hours discussing issues such as audit reports, the new trading contract tender, preparations for GDPR on 25 May, our communications strategy, pay, budget planning, staff issues, supporting volunteers, relations with local authorities, corporate and business and corporate parenting planning, visits, events and so on.

No time afterwards to draw breath as other issues to be tackled.

Fortunately by the time I left 9 hours later the weather was just wet.

Had to report to my aunt that as we reached the 4 month point of being in hospital and able to return home that still no care package can be arranged. I’ve tried to comply with the system and follow procedures. But as my aunt says: this is ridiculous. It is costing the public purse nearly £2,000 a week to keep her in hospital. Yet if a basic care package could be put in place it would cost the state £105 a week. Something is not right.
