More hearts

The green hearts that WI members made to draw attention to environmental issues were on show again today at a very sociable coffee morning. WI members got together not only for coffee, cake and chat, but also a Bring and Buy stall, a "Guess the Weight of the Cake" competition, and two craft demonstrations. One member showed how she made very complicated folding greetings cards, and I spent the morning showing how to make braid using a special Japanese disc. (Extra). Doing this meant I got to talk to lots of different people, always a pleasure. The coffee morning was held to raise money for the WI College which needs funds for maintenance of its Grade II listed building.
