Last day

A decent levada walk that the book though was four and a half miles but felt nearer seven. Terracing everywhere but like the Ardeche, much of it overgrown and disused. One fears for that particular way of life.
A tapas restaurant for the evening with as good a meal as we have had.
Limpets were on the menu and they had to be done. They won't be again.
Some excellent squid and as ever on Madeira chips.
