Madame and I sometimes listen to an interesting show called Boomerang which has had a selection of very interesting guests over the last couple of years.

We were listening this morning to a French singer Dominique A whose music I’ve never been a major fan of but whose approach is both humane and generous.

Following that, I decided to listen to a variety of musicians including the highly regarded Philippe Katerine. As I said to Madame his skill of writing a well crafted song appears to have diminished considerably. Previously the songs would occasionally have an element of provocation, now they seem to have little else.
