Mountain village

The last overnight hiking excursion of the season win front. as to the mountain village of El Carrizal, which is probably the favorite. It's built in a kind of bowl with an open side, so there are mountains all around with a beautiful view in front. The people here are very friendly and welcoming! 
The less than 300 people here grow wheat, grind it into flour and bake a kind of flattish bread for their own use and to sell in the city of Oaxaca. 
They also have a trout farm where the fish are raised in clean cold mountain water, and we always enjoy a delicious trout dinner.
