The Best Laid Plans

Took this because it caught my eye then saw my blip for today - two male mallards in hot pursuit of a lone female. Along with other walkers, I was highly entertained for several minutes; unfortunately my pics are far too blurry to post, so blurry they hurt the eyes!

So here is what appears to be a rotting tree trunk sustaining healthy branches.
