We wanted a bird feeder in the garden and after visiting various places decided to make our own. Metal ones rust and if there is a wooden one with a table it's likely our cat will climb on. So when we saw a bundle of bamboo canes at the garden centre for under £5 - that was our answer. Clever hubby constructed it using zip ties - surprising what you can do with bamboo and zip ties! Bit of a Blue Peter moment!!! In time we will hang more feeders (if the birds come that is!!) A couple of Robins are frequenting our garden at the moment - they are so lovely!
