Hellebore

The hellebores are obligingly lifting their heads a little now, making it a bit easier to photograph them. The pink ones vary from a rather muddy colour to more interesting shades - this is one of the brighter ones. It's quite vigorous, with lots of flowers , but is in a perhaps too shady spot as it's not quite as floriferous as some that we have. But it's doing its job of providing interest in early spring until the daffodils take all the limelight, and is a very pretty flower when you get to see it properly.
