From snow to sunshine in 6 hours

I couldn't believe it when I looked out of the window at around 6am and the world was white, yet again!  Large flakes of wet heavy looking snow were coming down, but by mid morning the sun was out and by lunchtime most of the snow had gone.  There's just a few patches left at the back where the sun fails to reach at this time of year.  Thank goodness we weren't in for a week of it.
