The Way Back

We all got up fairly early this morning. We took a pane of glass out of each of the starboard windows and stared at 2 fence posts with a length of rebar lashed to them with baler twine. Fascinating! To show you what I mean I've put a shot in Extras.

When Kat got up at 6.45 am the kingfisher was actually sittihg on this rebar perch. We stood, each at a different window for an hour and a half but it never came back. We'd got such good shots of it here in November. No luck today!

Our journey was nearly at an end as I took this shot in Tixall. There are so many beautiful homes along the side of the canal with gardens sweeping down to the water's edge.
