Thunderbird
Met up with one of my closest friends for the first time in nearly five months and had the whole day together: went to two different cafes, strolled around the city centre, and had Indian curry for dinner.
Captured this sign right before getting on a train to be heading for my hometown. Thunderbird is the name of a limited express train operated between Wakuraonsen (an onsen district in Ishikawa Prefecture) and Osaka (it stops at Kyoto as well). Since the Japanese name for the grouse contains two characters meaning thunder and bird respectively, this train name is often mistaken as the English name for the grouse; also its former model was named as a Japanese name for the grouse.
