Redshank

The weather has been awful for most of the day but it stopped raining for a while this afternoon so we went out to Quatro Aguas on the outskirts of Tavira.

It proved to be quite a success as kwdiane spotted some flamingoes flying overhead and we also saw spoonbills which is another bird I haven’t seen before.

The main shot is a redshank which is a very photogenic bird. My extra is the spoonbill. I’ll be the first to admit it isn’t a good picture as it was too far away but it is good to record it.
