It's my island

Today was a full day in which I got alot done; finished painting the living room, organised a floor sander and varnish for the village hall, did lota of yoga, had a blether with visiting friends from Eigg and packed for a trip to the mainland. Still had time for a gin in a tin at the shop as well ( our shop is like a pub as we don't have a pub).
The sign in the picture dates back to the NCC ( nature conservancy council) days when the island was still considered 'forbidden', a continuation of the old estate when the whole island was private. In fact things didn't really change until the scottish land reform act came into play, up until then there was still someone down at the pier checking names and asking where people were going.
