One year old!

A bad night. Couldn't sleep and a worry that an old ailment has returned. #1 son worked at home and Olivia came home at 12.30. I sewed and listened to 'The Unforgiven' on R4. Really good. We did a swap at lunchtime as Xin took Amelia, the unimpressed birthday girl next door.

It was a beautiful day. Almost Mediterranean, blue skies and sun all day. Released from 'granny duties' I went to the pool. The water was so warm and the sun was so hot. Took the headphones so I could keep listening.

#2 son came home just after 4 back from his travels in Penang. Eventually we all trooped down to the pool for a photo session which got tricky as Amelia kept getting distracted and Olivia did what 3 year old do and got high with all the excitement and attention, and not very biddable.

Then to C Block for a Chines takeaway which was lovely and wine which I drank out of politeness. Card and present opening with Olivia waning to play with everything and Amelia remaining unimpressed. Home by 9 and I went to bed. So tired.
