Cormorant

I seem to be having a streak of unfortunate luck. I managed to fracture my middle toe this morning. But apart from the pain and swelling, I refuse to let it stop me. So I went to the park after cleaning up the house. The weather was dreich, following heavy rain since last night, so the park seemed like the best place to get a few pictures. 

I sat on a low wall near the canoe place with my monopod and took pictures. After a while the Cormorant came back, then a second, and finally a third. I watched the Canada Geese eating algae from the posts that ensured a canoe free zone for the water birds.
