Porvoo

A day out from Helsinki to the old town of Porvoo. A huge selection of things I could blip, but I liked this photo with the multi-coloured houses and the old cathedral on the hill in the distance. I've added several extras.

The weather in Helsinki when we left was a rather unpleasant wet, almost freezing drizzle - we were quite glad to get on the bus. In Porvoo - a little further East and also just a wee bit further from the coast, it was colder (not too cold, and no wind), and the precipitation was intermittent gentle snow - rather more pleasant than drizzle.

We had a lovely walk around, some souvenir shopping, followed by a late lunch, and then just as it started to snow in earnest, we caught the bus back to Helsinki.
