The dropped stitch

Spot the seal

A quieter day, after yesterday's excitement.
Snack lunch with D, a little bit of work and then home to do a few long neglected chores.

Got the chance for a phone conversation with Rio, which is always lovely.
Yesterday was the local Up Helly Aa festival. The vikings had visited the school, so it had been an exciting day. I made a viking helmet and shield said Rio. "I did too!" came the loud shout in the background from Freyja, age 3.

This was also a good weekend because it was Rio's turn to bring home 'Brian', the teddy. Everyone in the class gets a turn and, of course, you are particularly lucky if your turn falls on a Friday.

Shetland weather good, and so the family were going out in the afternoon for a visit to Michael's Wood - "because we like woods and Dad's name is Michael".
What better reason.
