Blue Iris

After a couple of lovely days, today has been truly miserable.  Had I not had to get up and bake, I would have gladly stayed in bed.  However the cakes were baked and BB and TT went off to the football fundraising event.  The had lots of cakes to sell, and lots of people to help – but the rainy day meant there weren’t many people around to buy, so it wasn’t as big a success as it could have been, which is a shame.  Hopefully they will have raised some money.  I pottered and eventually popped into town for a few bits and pieces.

After lunch, the rain seemed to have gone off (though not for long), so we drove over to North Berwick and had a wander.  We didn’t leave the High Street.  The rain got heavier which put paid to our walk along the beach.  We were even grateful that we needed some supplies, as the supermarket was warm and dry.

We’ve had a quiet evening in front of the fire.

This lovely iris brightens up a grim day.
