Haar
Edinburgh was blanketed in fog all day today. It was cold and damp and miserable! On the way home the fog (which I presume was a haar, or fog which has come in from the North Sea) didn't clear till past Falkirk. I must say though that if you're going to be covered in fog all day then you're as well to have amazing architecture - it really was something seeing all the towers and spires peering out from the fog! This is St Giles Cathedral on the Royal Mile.
