Back On It
Sort of. I only have a couple of days left until I have to go back to work ....
It's been quite nice just hanging out at home. Not so good for overthinking, but it's been nice to slow down the pace, and also I've seen Lucy almost everyday.
I went to have my stitches out and went to Physio for the first time. She was really good and talked me through what I'd had done- I was asleep when the surgeon came to talk to me at the time....
It turns out I've had quite a bit of work done! And because it's only done through three tiny holes there's not a lot to see. So it's good to be reminded that there was a lot going on and I need to be more careful! In addition to the stress fracture I also had a partial tear of one of the rotator cuff muscles (supraspinatus), and a 30% split of my subscapularis muscle, and a very inflamed bursa. She said I need to slow down and I think because it's my right hand and it's not felt too bad it's been easy to just try and do anything I need to do.
Anyways, I'll be back in the gym before long, and when I see the guy for a review in May I shall be asking him to do the other one for me too.
I can't really be bothered to do very much at the moment, it's all felt a bit flat. I drove today for the first time since to see A, and it was ok, although I was a bit nervous! I always stop off at the BP garage that has an M & S, and I picked up sushi for dinner.
I don't really want to go back to work, but I know it'll be the best thing. Routine and all of that. The children have missed me, I've been told... ;-)
