Fortunate accident?

My last trip to the UK was a bit disastrous on the hat front, Ryanair had us standing on the tarmac in the rain, and my lovely trilby was misshapen. I took it apart, resteamed on my new metal block. On ‘tidying’ my work table (looking for something I couldn’t find) I came across this band, which I’d made from an old Russian scarf, which didn’t really work on its intended hat. However, I think it might just work on this remodel... keen to finish it now!
